Jim Crook, owner of J. Crook Construction, is a licensed General and Masonry Contractor, respected industry consultant, and seasoned expert in the complex process of building quality, single-family homes. A second-generation building contractor who grew up immersed in the industry, he is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of construction.

In addition to building custom homes for 30 years, Jim’s professional background includes:

8 years at Cuesta College as a Construction teacher & Chairman of the Construction Technology Advisory Committee.
4 years with Peoples’ Self Help Housing of SLO County. (Personally taught/helped 54 families to build their own homes as a Project Manager.
5 years volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Built his own family home, while working and starting a new business.
